Design It! ®
Electrical and Instrumentation Design Software
Design It! ®
is an electrical and control systems engineering design
software package that automates the process to complete
designs and drawings. It includes drawing elements for
motor schematics, instrument loop diagrams, motor control
centre arrangements and block diagrams.
Design It! ®'s
integrated approach to database design shifts the master
document from paper based to electronic based. The paper
drawings generated are the result of design, not the
source. All design elements are maintained within a
database, so that each item is repeatedly checked and
managed within the overall design. It automatically
generates and maintains information ranging from power
distribution centres to PLC and DCS systems.
Engineering offices will
benefit from Design It! ® by its ability to
automatically complete a design sequence based upon user
defined rules. Maintenance offices will benefit by
applying the same rules to updates and changes. With Design It! ®, maintenance offices will be able to manage
all their documents and keep them current with the plant.
Design It! ®
may be configured using two configurations. The first configuration is
the standard client server install (multiple users) and the second is a standalone

Design It! ®
is based upon Microsoft's SQL Server database. This
product is based upon the open database technology
standards including ODBC. Using this technology Design
It! ® is able to offer connectivity into a variety
of applications and products. Many maintenance management
products now use SQL Server as their database choice. Design
It! ® is able to link with these databases and
offer links between data collected for the engineering
design and the plant maintenance systems.
